+I have worked 66 hours in 6 days
- My heels are swollen
- Every part of my body aches
- My mind is shot
- My eyes are puffy
- My pointer finger now has a gnarly callus at the base
- I’ve nearly cut off my entire fingernail
- My forearms are burned
- I have yet to have a day off
But…
- I’m working with a master chef everyday
- I have more connections than most culinary students do within a week of beginning externship
- I’ve made new friends/incredibly good impressions
- and I have a new family
I have never been this proud, determined or focused in my life.
